Start With the Intended Use

Materials, Structure and Branding

Backpack projects can be reviewed around fabric weight and coating, lining, zipper, webbing, foam, reinforcement, laptop protection, compartment layout, shoulder straps and packaging. Material choices should be approved against physical samples because fabrics and coatings that look similar in photographs can perform differently.

Logo options may include printing, embroidery, heat transfer, silicone patches, woven labels and metal badges. The appropriate method depends on the artwork, surface, expected use and quantity.

Sampling and Production Planning

For a smaller first order, adapting an existing structure through color, logo or packaging changes is usually more practical than changing the entire construction. A new pattern, special material, molded component or custom hardware can require additional development and a higher MOQ.

Sample and production timing must be confirmed for the selected design, materials, logo process, quantity and packaging. An approved sample and written specification provide the working reference for bulk production and inspection.
